SPORTS

Physical strength and ability is critical in finding success in sports. As we look after our physical condition through drills and exercises, our mental wellbeing is just as important, both on and off the pitch. Create the Great in You has had many successes working with a variety of sports organisations. These organisations include local G.A.A teams, such as John Mitchells G.F.C. and St. Marys G.F.C. in Co. Louth and Magheracloone Mitchells in Co. Monaghan. We have also hosted large workshops at the Darver Centre of Excellence with the Stabannon Parnells, Hunterstown G.F.C. and St. Josephs G.A.A club. When working with sports teams we focus heavily on team communication, keeping a positive attitude and a clear focus. Success is achieved when a team is playing in sync, each player at their peak and making the correct, critical decisions.

Our goal is to inspire creativity, collaboration and positive mental health in all environments.
We achieve this through our four programmes; Team Building and Collaboration: enables your players to recognise their own personal skills and how to use them as a team. It also provides an understanding that their teammates may have a different work-process and this shouldn’t hinder the collaboration of their team. Mental Strength & Resilience: focuses on improving your team’s ability to accept set-backs in their matches, understand what went wrong, most importantly, work together to craft a solution as a team. Mentor Training: identifies the potential leaders and teachers in your team. As a group, we discuss what characteristics make a great leader and encourage those who wish to improve their gameplay. Finally; Keynote/Motivational Speaker: is a talk by our coaches about their life experiences, the impact of those experiences and how their resilience allowed them to persevere.

"Mark has a unique way in interacting with young people by really listening to them and is very respectful of all. You could just feel the change in the vibe in the room within a very short time."

Margaret Comey

Treasurer (John Mitchells GFC)

Mark is an excellent communicator and a fantastic coach and mentor. He is a people person with an emphatic approach, a listening ear, and an honest friendly way about him such that he is not intrusive, and one feels like sharing. He wants to help and that comes across in his manner and method. He has helped me to build resilience and be more self-confident and also to reflect, deal with the negatives, focus on the positives, and think more creatively in my approach. Mark has given me the tools to help me reach my full potential both personally and professionally and, on that basis, I would have no hesitation in recommending ‘Create the Great in You.

S. Finnegan

Insurance Underwriter

I recently had the opportunity to be coached by Mark, I really appreciated the wonderful safe and non-judgmental space that he created during our sessions. His sincere, positive approach and caring nature along with appropriate levels of challenge created the perfect environment for me to explore some issues. Mark facilitated me in recognising limitations I had imposed upon myself and to identify solutions to my challenges. I was extremely happy with my outcomes.
